The district has added a new exit driveway to Lot A (North Parking Lot by the Main entrance) to create a safer and more efficient area for students, parents, and staff.
There are new changes in directions for everyone to follow:
DROP OFF RULES
Drop off in the morning is to be viewed as a quick drop off or a short term parking. A quick drop off requires the student to quickly get out of the vehicle themselves in minimal time. Short Term parking is for students who need parent assistance with getting themselves, materials, other things that require longer than then quick drop off.
The Entrance and Exit to Lot A are one way only. The Entrance is at the southwest end of Lot A. Exit is at the Northwest end of Lot A.
Quick Drop off will use the entrance lane to the far right near the sidewalk. Cars will be released (six at a time) to the painted areas by a staff member. Cars are required to stop at the farthest spot and complete the quick drop off. Cars will then proceed north to the one way exit. The exit only allows for a vehicle to enter Marker Road. Vehicles are not allowed to turn left at the merging of the access road.
People who need to park vehicles for short or long term parking will use the left lane of the entrance road.
Short term parking will park in the designated parking are identified by the solid blue area on the map above. After student(s) are out of the vehicle, allow them to walk to the brick crosswalk, then turn left towards the one-way exit. The exit only allows for a vehicle to enter Marker Road. Vehicles are not allowed to turn left at the merging of the access road.
PICK UP RULES
The inside spaces along the cement sidewalks are for pick-up of only elementary students. Because these students get released before HS and MS school students. This will allow for a better flow of vehicles.
Pickups that involve HS and /or MS students are expected to use the short term parking designated on the solid blue area of the map. Pick up of elementary students with MS and HS students are to use the short term parking area too.
Signage and additional staff will assist in directing traffic and answer questions for drivers. We appreciate your understanding as we work on creating a safer and better drop off and pick up area for the community.
