PUBLIC MEETING NOTICE: BOARD FINANCE COMMITTEE
The Versailles Exempted Village Schools Board of Education Finance Committee will meet on Friday, September 18, 2026, at 11:30 a.m. at the Board of Education Office.
The Finance Committee is a subcommittee composed of two Board members, the Treasurer, and the Superintendent.
Its purpose is to examine matters related to the District’s finances in greater depth and report its findings or recommendations to the full Board of Education.
This is an open public meeting. Because the Finance Committee is not the full Board of Education, no official action on behalf of the Board will be taken during the meeting.

The Village of Versailles wishes to advise motorists and those attending football games this fall that there is no curbside parking permitted along the north and west side of W. Main St. and Grand Ave. from Columbia St. to Marker Rd. Village Council passed Village Ordinance No. 24-48 in the fall of 2025 restricting parking in this corridor area, and there is currently No Parking Signs posted along this route. A traffic study was performed on W. Main St. and Grand Ave. in September 2025 that found that the roadway was too narrow for two lanes of traffic along with curbside parking on both sides of the street with the traffic volume that this corridor experiences on a daily basis. This parking restriction was also put in place to improve safety in the area in helping to ensure proper traffic lane spacing to allow passenger vehicles, semi-trucks and emergency response vehicles to utilize the roadway, even during events at H.B. Hole Field. Curbside parking is still permissible along the south and east side of W. Main St. and Grand Ave. Village Administration and the Versailles Police Dept. asks that motorists please pay attention to the posted No Parking Signs in this area. Violators of no parking restrictions are subject to citations, fines, and/or having their vehicle towed if it is impeding traffic.

Bus 9 had a mechanical problem at its first stop. A replacement bus is already on the way, but will be behind schedule by about 20 to 25 minutes. If you have an alternative means for getting your children who ride bus 9 to school, we'd ask for your help in doing so.
We're running the route as normal, and no one will be marked late, but if you are able to get kids to school, we'd greatly appreciate it.
