Good afternoon, Versailles parents.
As a result of updating this year’s incoming 3rd and 8th grade Chromebooks, the district is selling the remaining surplus Chromebooks (Dell 3100 model). These models are scheduled to continue receiving Auto Updates until June 2029 according to Google, and they have been “powerwashed” of all its Versailles settings.
If interested in purchasing a Dell model Chromebook, the sale will occur on Tuesday, July 14th and Wednesday, July 15th from 7am - 3pm both days. Please enter Door #2 at the High School Office for the location of the sale. The cost of the Dell Chromebook is $20 which will include its charger & a carrying case. We will accept ONLY cash or check: Versailles Schools.
*Note 1: This opportunity is only available to currently enrolled students in Grades K-12 at Versailles Schools for the 2026-2027 school year.
*Note 2: Those students with any outstanding Chromebook charges will need to make that payment prior to becoming eligible to purchase a Dell Chromebook.
*Note 3: The sale is on a first-come, first-serve, no holds, “sold-as-is”, and limit 1 per student basis.
*Note 4: Once purchased, the Chromebook will no longer be permitted to be used on school premises.

This is Superintendent Dave Harmon with an important message regarding student enrollment for the 2026-2027 school year into their next grade level. We hope you've had a wonderful start of summer and are busy making great summer memories!
This message is for all Versailles parents/guardians. Final Forms has officially rolled over into the 2026-2027 school year. You may begin updating and signing off on all forms starting immediately. It is incredibly helpful and important to us in our work over the summer months. It is critically important for bus routing plans.
Specifically, transportation forms MUST be updated by July 18th at the latest - that's just a little more than 3 weeks away already. Additionally, the Transportation forms must be completed for every single K-12 student, regardless of whether you utilize district-provided transportation.
We suggest that you use a desktop computer rather than a phone or tablet for the sake of readability and compatibility as you update and complete any forms. Anyone who submits a change of address in Final Forms must follow up with new proof of residency at the new address that they entered. The newly updated Student Handbook and the updated Chromebook agreement are in the Final Forms portal. Please read them carefully for any new and updated rules, procedures, and policies. If you have any questions, please contact the Board office at 937-526-4773.
Thank you very much. Have a wonderful evening! Go Tigers!

Volunteer Opportunity: Join Our Versailles Media Center Team
Do you have a few hours each week and a desire to make a meaningful difference for Versailles students? We are seeking dedicated community volunteers to become part of our Media Center team.
Our volunteers provide valuable behind-the-scenes support that helps ensure our Media Center remains organized, welcoming, and ready to serve students and staff. Responsibilities may include:
Shelving and organizing books and materials
Assisting with inventory and collection management
Preparing resources for student and staff use
Helping with general clerical and organizational tasks
While this role does not involve direct work with students, the impact is felt by every student who uses the Media Center. Your time and dedication help create an environment where students have access to well-organized resources that support learning, curiosity, and exploration.
We are hoping to build a small team of reliable volunteers who can commit to a consistent weekly schedule. Whether you are available one afternoon each week or multiple days, we will work with you to create a schedule that meets your availability while providing dependable support for our Media Center. A typical volunteer shift would be approximately two hours.
This opportunity would be a wonderful fit for retirees, grandparents, former educators, community members, or anyone who enjoys books, organization, and supporting our schools.
If you are interested in becoming part of this important work, please contact Brenda Braun at brenda.braun@vtigers.org and include "Library Volunteer Candidate" in the subject line of your email. You may also contact the Versailles Elementary School office with any questions.
Thank you for considering the opportunity to support Versailles students and our school community.
