Good evening Tigers,
This is Superintendent Dave Harmon with an important weather-related message.
Given the temperatures and currently expected snow drifting this evening, Sheriff Whittaker is keeping the current level 2 status in place through the evening. As such, we will be starting on a 2-hour delay tomorrow, Wednesday, January 28, 2026.
Our Transportation Director will get the buses started early in the morning to get them running and warming up with the hopes that we can go to school after the delay. We are hopeful that with the delay, the road crews will have had a little more time to clear drifts, and we will benefit from the additional morning light.
Mr. Kunk and I be driving in the early morning as well as looking at the weather forecast for temperatures, to make the final decision but the hope is that we can get a day in tomorrow.
Thank you very much.
Have a great evening.

This is Superintendent Dave Harmon with an important weather-related message.
I hope everyone stayed warm and safe during this weekend's winter storm. The forecast for the upcoming week does not look good with near zero temperatures throughout the week and wind chills possibly significantly below that. At just after 1:00 this afternoon, Sheriff Whittaker communicated to the Superintendents in the County that, given the weather conditions, both temperature and road conditions, as well as the expected blowing that drifting that may come, he does not plan to take the county off of the level 2 that we are currently on for at least 24 hours.
That being said, we will be closed for the day tomorrow, Tuesday, January 27th. We'll be starting buses early each remaining day this week in hopes that we can go, and so that they are warmed up and running effectively for the day's routes.
For students who are driving to school, please anticipate that road conditions are not going to be ideal, probably any day this week. Please remember to give yourself a little bit of extra time. Drive slower, and be safe.
Have a great evening.
Stay warm.

This is Superintendent Dave Harmon with a reminder about Monday. Given the anticipation of the pending winter storm and its unknown impact on the district, I wanted to remind everyone that Monday was already scheduled as a Professional Development Day for staff. Students already do not have school on Monday. Have a great weekend. Students, we'll see you on Tuesday next week!

Go Tigers!
This is Superintendent Dave Harmon with an important message about tomorrow morning. Due to the expected dangerously cold temperatures, we will be starting tomorrow (Monday, December 13, 2025) on a 2-hour delay. This will give a little more time to get buses warmed up and for additional light to see students who are standing out at a bus stop. Please bundle up. It is expected that we will go after the delay. Thank you. Have a good evening.

This is Superintendent Dave Harmon with a reminder about the planned school calendar. This message is just a reminder that tomorrow, Friday, December 5, 2025 is a planned 2 hour delay for staff professional development. Please arrive at school two hours later than a normal day, or be out at the bus stop two hours later than your regular time. Thanks. Have a great evening! Go Tigers!

The roads are now worse and we are still getting accumulation and many of the side roads haven't been touched yet or are just starting to get treated. We will now be closing for today, Monday, November 10, 2025.

This is Superintendent Dave Harmon with an important message about weather-related safety. We will start today, Monday, November 10, 2025, on a 2-hour delay schedule to allow road crews additional time to treat the roads and in consideration for first-time drivers on snow for the first time this year. There are places that are clear, and there are places that are not clear and are quite slick. Please take your time and be safe. We'll see you 2 hours later this morning.

This is Superintendent Dave Harmon with an important message regarding the schedule for Friday, November 7, 2025, in light of the funeral services for Wesley Breeze.
Friday was originally scheduled as a two-hour delay for staff professional development. After careful consideration of the needs of our students, staff, and community, we want to share the following plan:
There will be no school for 8th-grade students only on Friday so that students may support each other during this difficult time.
The scheduled 2 hour delay schedule will continue as planned. For students who are attending, please arrive 2 hours later than normal per the published schedule. Students are welcome to attend the funeral services with their friends and families.
For those not attending, school will remain open with staff available to provide a safe and supportive environment. We want to ensure all students have caring supervision during this difficult time.
Parents, if you know your child will be out for any portion of the day—or for the full day—please complete the Google Form linked below by Thursday, October 6th at 7:00 pm instead of calling or sending a note to the office. This will help us prepare and plan appropriately for lunches and attendance reporting requirements.
We encourage and support every family in making the decision that feels right for them. We know and respect that this will look different for everyone, and we appreciate your support and understanding.
PLEASE FILL OUT THE FORM BELOW FOR EACH OF YOUR CHILDREN WHO WILL EITHER BE IN PARTIAL ATTENDANCE OR WHO WILL NOT BE IN ATTENDANCE AT SCHOOL ON FRIDAY.
