Go Tigers!
This is Superintendent Dave Harmon with an important message about tomorrow morning. Due to the expected dangerously cold temperatures, we will be starting tomorrow (Monday, December 13, 2025) on a 2-hour delay. This will give a little more time to get buses warmed up and for additional light to see students who are standing out at a bus stop. Please bundle up. It is expected that we will go after the delay. Thank you. Have a good evening.

This is Superintendent Dave Harmon with a reminder about the planned school calendar. This is Superintendent Dave Harmon with an important message about weather-related safety. We will start today, Monday, November 10, 2025, on a 2-hour delay schedule to allow road crews additional time to treat the roads and in consideration for first-time drivers on snow for the first time this year. This is Superintendent Dave Harmon with an important message regarding the schedule for Friday, November 7, 2025, in light of the funeral services for Wesley Breeze.
Friday was originally scheduled as a two-hour delay for staff professional development. After careful consideration of the needs of our students, staff, and community, we want to share the following plan:
There will be no school for 8th-grade students only on Friday so that students may support each other during this difficult time.
The scheduled 2 hour delay schedule will continue as planned. For students who are attending, please arrive 2 hours later than normal per the published schedule. Students are welcome to attend the funeral services with their friends and families.
For those not attending, school will remain open with staff available to provide a safe and supportive environment. We want to ensure all students have caring supervision during this difficult time.
Parents, if you know your child will be out for any portion of the day—or for the full day—please complete the Google Form linked below by Thursday, October 6th at 7:00 pm instead of calling or sending a note to the office. This will help us prepare and plan appropriately for lunches and attendance reporting requirements.
We encourage and support every family in making the decision that feels right for them. We know and respect that this will look different for everyone, and we appreciate your support and understanding.
PLEASE FILL OUT THE FORM BELOW FOR EACH OF YOUR CHILDREN WHO WILL EITHER BE IN PARTIAL ATTENDANCE OR WHO WILL NOT BE IN ATTENDANCE AT SCHOOL ON FRIDAY.

Good afternoon, we are sharing this message to our families from the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce, in conjunction with the Summer Electronic Benefits Transfer program (Summer EBT).
Hello!
The 2025 Summer Electronic Benefits Transfer (Summer EBT) program is winding down and we are aware that many eligible students have not utilized the benefits issued in June. The one-time Summer EBT benefit expires 122 days after issuance and benefits distributed in June will be expunged as early as October 10th if they are not spent.
We are asking districts to encourage your eligible families to utilize the Summer EBT benefits as quickly as possible. Please share the following link with families so that they can check their benefit expiration date. Summer EBT Funds
Families who have lost or never received their child's card, can visit Summer EBT FAQs and navigate to "How can I get a replacement card if I lost the one from last summer?" to get the steps to have a card reissued.
If families have any questions, please have them contact SEBT support at 866-244-0071, option 1, submit a support request from the portal or email support@ohiosunbucks.org.
Thank you,
Summer EBT Support

I’ll be the first one to admit - it did not work the way we had hoped. What did work is that buses got out faster than anyone can remember for the first day of school. The student parking lot was also empty at about 3:08. That was very successful; however, we learned the hard way that holding the students and crossing all together after letting the buses out did not work. Lesson learned. Please give some grace to the staff who were out there. They were only doing what they were asked to do. Tomorrow we will revert back to the previous way of managing the student traffic. We’ll cross as many students as we can as they come out, and then when it is time for the buses to go, we’ll stop traffic again to let the buses get out, after which there will be a second time for students to cross, just as it was in prior years. We were only trying to increase student safety. Thank you for your patience, your grace, and your understanding.
